Chambly chair / "De Chambly" chair

A very pretty “de Chambly” chair in an old rose color. Very nice patina and I redid the seat in woven elm bark (elm bark is precious because it can no longer be found. I decided to use some of my precious reserve to save this one). this). All original with the two characteristic finials ending the rear posts. Carved rings on all posts and typically carved feet. Beneath the beautiful pink color there is old blue and red on the finials , but I find it presently perfect in its as found condition. Quebec, around 1880.
H: 35 1/2" x W: 17 1/2" x D: 12 ½" Seat is 17" tall

Under the stunning pink color there is a “Quebec” blue and red finial, but I find it perfect as it is in it's as found condition. Quebec, Circa 1880.
